About the Band
Garageland Rodeo is a five-piece band from neighboring Martinez that has been a fixture of the East Bay music scene for more than two decades. Formed in 2004, they play high-energy rock, blues, and soul — a mix of originals, deep cuts, and reimagined covers.
Think Rolling Stones, Black Crowes, and Tedeschi Trucks, laced with Etta James and Aretha Franklin influences. In their own words, they're "not a typical cover band, nor a top-40 live jukebox outfit" — expect a set with real personality to open the summer.

The 2026 Sunset by the Lake Summer Concert Series kicks off with Garageland Rodeo! Get ready for an incredible evening of music to start the summer.
This concert features a Family Fun Zone with activities for kids including bounce houses and more—arrive early to enjoy the fun before the music starts!
What to bring: Blankets, lawn chairs, and picnic baskets are encouraged. Food trucks and beverage vendors will be available on-site.
Parking: Free parking is available at Pleasant Hill City Hall and surrounding areas.
